# Capability: Create a draft page

## Prerequisites

- Read `wp-cms-edit://customer/blocks-index` for block names and scalar fields
- Read `wp-cms-edit://customer/routing`

## Steps

1. Pick a **unique slug** — e.g. `ai-edit-<topic>-2026-07-06` or `ai-e2e-<suffix>`
2. `wp_cms_edit ["create-page", "--slug", "<slug>", "--title", "<title>", "--heading", "<hero heading>"]`
   - Optional: `--template-block pedestal/feature-split` (default: `pedestal/general-hero`)
3. `wp_cms_edit ["snapshot"]` — list `@b1`, `@b2`, …
4. `wp_cms_edit ["read", "@b1"]` — inspect attributes
5. Edit scalars: `wp_cms_edit ["set", "@b1", "heading", "New heading"]`
6. `wp_cms_edit ["diff"]` → `wp_cms_edit ["save"]`

## Confirmation gates

1. Confirm slug and title with user when not an automated test
2. Show `diff` before `save`
